The End of Philosophy and the Task of Thinking

The End of Philosophy and the Task of Thinking

A New Weekend Webinar led by Dr. Alfred Denker

Martin Heidegger՚s lecture “The end of philosophy and the task of thinking” was presented by Jean Beaufret at the Colloque organisé par Unesco à Paris (from April 21-23, 1964), in a translation prepared by Jean Beaufret and François Fédier. It was later published in the German original in Heidegger’s book “Zur Sache des Denkens” (Tübingen, 1969). In the lecture Heidegger reflects upon the question of what the task of thinking may be after the completion of the history of metaphysics.
